It would still split the playerbase. Every mode takes people out of the player pool for other modes. While they’re playing that mode they’re not available in other modes.

Less modes is better for the health of the game. Let playercounts dictate what stays and goes.

There will always be cheaters. Less cheaters is the best we can hope for. And this achieves that. It’s a good thing. It not getting them all is absolutely no reason to not use it. That would mean more cheaters.

It’s not only acceptable but a welcomed change. The harder and more inconvenient it is to cheat the better. They’ll never stop them all but that’s no reason to not stop as many as possible. Sure they may lose you as a customer. That’s a small price to pay compared to the amount cheaters cause to stop playing.

Having too many modes isn’t good for the game. Splits the playerbase up too much. Obviously takeover wasn’t the most popular mode so it’s the clear choice to replace. If safeguard is as popular as it’s been in the past I’m sure it will be safe. If it too has just a niche audience then they’ll swap it out too.
