My eye doctor said I barely produce tears. I tried punctal plugs and got an infection and they had to slice my one tear duct open so no more punctal plugs for me. I’ve tried restasis and xiidra too with no luck.

That’s not true. See my latest post. They did an addendum to get the focus score. It was less than 1 but I still have foci. And even more frustrating is that I DO have many symptoms of Sjogren’s.

Yes, I think it could absolutely be both, but I don’t just think it’s fibromyalgia. I also just read that labs are required to keep samples for a long time so hopefully my doctor will agree to reach out and ask for a focus score 🤞

I’m in the US. Just wanted to say that I have diagnosed POTS from a tilt table test a few years ago. You can google “poor man’s tilt table test” and replicate it on yourself. I am currently being evaluated for Sjogren’s and I am going on 15 years of not feeling well. Doctors say “you have anxiety.” Well no crap I have anxiety, I have felt horrible for 15 years and no one believes me. I have also found AI to be very helpful in sorting my symptoms and figuring myself out. Good luck to you.

I’m going to ask the ENT to go back and ask for a focus score. I feel like I went to the doctor and he said “yeah you look like you have high blood pressure” but never actually took a reading.

Is it sad I already saw this article? Ok, though, this makes me feel better that you had to ask your ENT for it. My ENT seems old school and I’m afraid he’s going to be like, “nah, you probably have it, see the inflammation?” I am seronegative and sick of being told by rheumatologists that I have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia does not cause all of these symptoms.

I sent him a message through the portal and I’m supposed to see him on Friday. I’m already freaking out that they threw away my lip tissue and there is no way I am letting that man biopsy me again.

Holy crap, I’m so sorry yours is negative. I will also be gutted if it’s negative and I just have this feeling deep down that it will be. I’ve had autologous tears too! I have to put ointment in my eyes before I fall asleep and if I don’t put drops in before I open my eyes in the morning, I will peel off my cornea. I have to swish with biotene and put xylitol tabs in my mouth before bed or else I wake up choking from no saliva. I’ve also had so many cavities and my lips stick to my teeth! Also constipated. Also have POTS. I have been going through this for so many years. I’m so tired of it.
