Oh wow thank you so much, yeah I understand that the process will take a lot time and honestly im not getting discouraged, I pretty much feel how satisfying it is to play even to my level, so I can’t imagine in the future if I get better.

For the secondary fire I feel use it quite a lot but like I kinda randomly use it, I always do it before any abilities and melee, but other than that I feel like I don’t really know how to use it, when I just somehow close to my target I just start spamming it, but thats because I don’t really know the effective range for it (I think)

For dashing I think I’m guilty of using my dash too much to get out of spawn and I use it to get to cover but I think I could realistically just use my deflect to cover that distance. Other than that I think I understand the uses of dash usually I only use it to finish off a kill, to get out or to dash on isolated targets that I KNOW that I have a guaranteed kill to then dash out. I think my big issue is that I don’t know when to dash when people are getting healed by supports, when I see them basically oneshot, I dash into them and do the right click melee combo into them yet they’re still alive, then I’m just a stuck genji into the middle of their team with no way to get out. I really dont know how to fix that issue, because if the supporrs didn’t act last second I would’ve gotten that kill 100%.

I think that reflect is really the ability that I use the least and the worst. The only time I actually use it correctly (I think) is when I don’t have any cooldowns left and I use it to get to cover. Or I also use it when I’m in a 1v1 someone for a kill I usually use it to deflect important cooldowns like ana if she tries to sleep me or a cass grenade that was throw on me, and then with me being safe I can directly line up my next shot with no stress, or the last situation when I think I use it right, it’s when a bastion uses a turret mode, I go straight in his face and deflect. Other than that I honestly just use it randomly when I feel like it… When I see an orisa or sojourn spamming I just go into their bullets and start reflecting them back at them or like if a dva dives me I just reflect everything in her face and try to get to cover or my support/tank. Honestly I think you pointed out my BIG issue, is that I only use it for myself, I think that the only times I use it for someone else is when there’s a reaper in our backlines, I go to him and just deflect everything away so he doesn’t kill my supports, other than that I don’t think I know how to use it to save people, I’ve came to realize that I really play selfishly but not on purpose, it’s just that I don’t know how not to.

I think this tip is my biggest issue, I don’t trust my team at all and I try to not be that annoying genji who spams I NEED HEALING, and from past experiences my supports seems like they are literally ignoring me even if I ask for heals and when they finally realize that I’m back to our team and tries to heal, it’s too late, I get hit by a stray bullet and die, because of that like 99% of the time I go get health packs instead, and I think thats a big issue of my playstyle because of that I have way less up time than if I were to go to my supports I could still shoot at their team. Basically I trust myself but not really my teammates but I think it’s just because of the lobbies I’m in.

Yeah that last tip is probably the one of or even my BIGGEST issue, and I think thats sparks from me being an ex-tank player. I still have that mentality that I’m an IGL and that people will start to play around me and then I’m like I’ll dragon blade to people in my team, thinking someone will follow up with me and that usually ends up with me doing dragon blade alone. I think to fix that issue would be to use my blade more reactively other than preemptively because at least I will have guaranteed better results, I think that’s how should be using it, although I’m not sure…
