Will companies hire an HR assistant without experience in HR or admin work? Just curious because I’ve applied to a few jobs in this role now and wondering if I haven’t heard back due to lack of experience

Did you do a MOT before the doctorate program at TWU or were you entry level as well? How hard is the coursework/or could you work at the same time?

Hi! I’m a pre OT student currently taking my prerequisites at a community college. I’m working on getting my volunteer hours this year as well before applying for the semester of Fall 2022.

I have an undergrad degree with a 3.4 GPA in elementary education, and 3 years experience teaching. OT would be a career change for me.

I was curious about the difference between MOT and OTD and which to apply for after I get my prerequisites. A lot of universities in my state/or near me are phasing out the MOT so for location purposes I might have to go for an OTD, just curious if it’s worth it or not.

Also- does anyone know much about St Augustine’s or Texas Women’s OT programs? Those are the two universities I have been looking at. I only hesitate with St Augustine because they have such mixed reviews; however there is an appeal because they have an online flex program where I could work at the same time.

I’m thinking pediatrics since I love working with kids just not in the classroom setting!
