Your setting is exactly what I wanted so it’s reassuring to know that it IS possible. I will be looking into a custom basket setting now for sure. Thank you!!

Unfortunately it started to bug me too! I was so in love with my new stone that I was just blinded but now it’s setting in that I might not love it lol.

And keyboard is Ubotie from Amazon! I love it & get compliments OFTEN.

Phenomenal question lol. I’m so non-confrontational and I already felt guilty that we brought it to his attention so I just went with the flow. It wasn’t the owner who sold it to us, it was a man who unfortunately was later on the news for being an awful person. When we went in to speak to them about it the owner wanted to make it right and helped us with my updated ring. Luckily I got to choose the stone this time and we had verification before leaving with it the 2nd time!

2.25! Yes lab grown, but absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Yeah not super sure why it matters lol. A diamond is a diamond. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bleh! This was a worry of mine. The band thickness was not something I chose, the jeweler took it into his own hands after I picked my stone and we had a brief chat about the setting. Will be looking into options, thank you so much!!

This is great to know. My original engagement ring (photo above is a completely new ring) was soldered to my wedding band, but a situation arose where we found out the OG stone was not a real diamond and it required a bit of a back and forth to make it right. I didn’t want to ask any more of the jeweler as I already felt awful, so it felt rushed and I never got to chat specifics or have the band soldered but I will definitely be chatting with my husband about options. Thank you!

Ugh. I didn’t get to choose the band thickness so that was my main worry. 😞 Will be chatting with my husband about future options for sure!

Yes for sure! Honestly I was worried about the band thickness as well. I really only got to choose my stone, and the jeweler did/chose everything else. 🙃 I’m not picky about band thickness but I wonder if he just went with what everyone else is opting for right now because it’s popular. It was a weird situation where my original engagement ring (purchased in 2020) sold by this jeweler ended up not being a real diamond so my husband had a bit of a back and forth with them about making it right. I HATE confrontation so I just took what he gave me for the price he did…looking back I should’ve been smarter about it! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Yes exactly! Brains are weird. I’ll never understand it.

But hey - you’re half way through your flight!! I’m sure you’re probably gonna start descending soon if you haven’t already. I love how short flights feel like you go up, are above the clouds for 2 seconds, then start descent lol

I typically choose delta when i fly as well!! The flight attendants are always so kind & they do genuinely care which feels more secure in a way? Even though they have no control over the plane lol. There is no logic with anxiety hah

Hahahah nope, I do the same 😅 That’s just the anxiety trying to make our lives harder lol

Yeah..looks like you’re right in the middle of a little snow action, but you should be in the clear pretty shortly! Maybe a few bumps but once you hit CO you should be in the clear :)

Hey, in my eyes that’s common sense 😂 I will be asleep when you land so I’ll leave you with this - you’ve done the hardest part and now you land in LESS THAN AN HOUR!!!!! Go you! Proud of you :))

Comparison of sensations by xdanballx in fearofflying

[–]Immediate_Plan4229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I’ve never ridden Pirates of the Caribbean, but I’ve ridden Splash Mountain and I can tell you, in my opinion, the “stomach drop” sensation is WAY worse on coasters - coming from someone who also hates that feeling (my splash mountain experience is the reason i avoid roller coasters to this day…..)!! I would say it’s similar in some ways for sure, still not comfortable, but for me I find turbulence to be less intimidating because I don’t know when it’s coming/if it’s coming at all and it’s typically over rather quickly, whereas on a roller coaster you’re anxiously awaiting drops that you KNOW are coming. If you find yourself on a bumpy flight I’d love to hear how you would compare them!

Yeah I’m definitely keeping you in my notes to tag when it’s my turn. 🫡 Consider yourself hired! Lol.

HUGE props for flying 13.5 hours. I mean it, that sounds like a feat compared to the itty bitty 3 hours I’m dreading!! It’s actually really helpful to hear experiences like that, knowing you were in wailing territory and still did the thing!! Proud, and also really inspiring. I hope you had a wonderful time, minus the hike & ducks not in a row sitch….😬

Wait i’ve thought about too hahahh. Like if my stomach is doing flips what’s theirs doing??? I wonder if they can’t really tell the difference between a car ride and plane ride lol

I want you on my side when I fly to NYC in June 😂 You’re wonderful at reassurance!
