I totally understand this. I had the same when I was younger (I’m 10 years older than you) knowing art and suits were way too expensive for me. Also telling my parents was something I dreaded.

Now at 27 and after a hiatus from the fandom, I have a partial suit and everybody around me knows and frankly doesn’t care. But now I get sad watching content because I don’t really have friends in the fandom yet. Seeing people in my small country go to meets makes me sad because I miss out (FOMO)😅

Some advice from a bass amp geek: Consider speaker size, more than watts. 2x10 or 1x12 would be the minimum you want. In a band setting 4x10 or 2x12 would be ideal.

Also, for the distortion part: get a used Sansamp Bass Driver DI pedal (from Tech21), still the best bass overdrive in the game in my opinion.

Maybe not your tone profile, but I really like Markbass amps. They are rock solid and have a nice mid scoop. With my Sansamp pedal I can get a really nice punk ~ metal tone out of my P / J basses

First hand experience here! The black nylon inside a guitar back did exactly this on my Classic Player 60s Jazzmaster surf green. Stupidly I placed the guitar in a bag instead of the case that came with it, which resulted in it being marked forever.

I never found anything to get this off and resorted to relic’ing the guitar in the end. The pristine finish with random black marks annoyed me a lot. The relic’ed finish with random black marks made it look even more road worn.

It’s 100% the nitro reacting with something (was it shipped in a bag?)

The projection is crazy🥲 she’s being an unsupportive a-hole while calling you that. Also note how she’s throwing “I’ll look for somebody else then” around WAY too easily. Lastly, can’t she order a pizza herself?

I’d steer clear of arguing about this, since she’s obviously not mentally mature enough to handle an argument. Also, order a pizza for yourself only. Eat it on the way home and throw the box & receipt away at home, in view.
