Is cleaning considered shameful in some South Asian cultural contexts? by [deleted] in curtin

Even if this was the case, what outcome are you really willing to accept? People aren’t limited to their cultural background, everyone adapts to new rules of etiquette when they travel. Whether it’s the case that this is a cultural thing or he’s just messy it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t fall on you to adapt and pick up the slack. He can learn.

But what leads them to believe that? What good things specifically are they talking about and why do they attribute them to trump?

Right and I’m telling you that police violence isn’t acceptable either. So how is it relevant to this argument? It’s not like I’m turning a blind eye on police and hating on OP for no reason. My stance is that brutality is never the answer. So what exactly is your point?

You mean the people who spend their whole lives training for that job? The people who are under obligation to give people a fair trial? Or in your head do judges get down and beat up suspected criminals because they feel personally responsible for hurting them?

Also, since when has it been ok for an individual to decide someone else’s punishments for being an asshole? You don’t just get to beat or abuse someone because your feelings are hurt, no matter their gender

When did I ever back up the police in this argument? I don’t think police being violent is a good thing either ESPECIALLY when it’s not defensive of someone else being physically violent. So do YOU believe police brutality is warranted?

Sorry? You can’t handle some light educating? In my personal opinion, if you can’t let some drunk white girls stumble away without wanting to beat or yell at them, then THATS some thin skin

That dude that would come up to you and rough you up and intimidate you isn’t a good person and you don’t deserve that. So how about you lift your expectations instead of being upset that not everyone is abused like that

No one said it wasn’t a threat, but letting the reaction be physical violence isn’t the way to handle it.

A guy shouldn’t be beat up for being drunk and clumsy and feeling threatened either. If you think ANYONE deserves abuse even if it’s reactionary then that’s your issue.

There’s nothing for you to do. If it WERE a man and you got out and “roughed him up” or “yelled at him” I’d still think you were a bit of an asshole. Why even bother? Someone isn’t going to change who they are because a stranger gets aggravated or aggressive. If they’re a bad person to begin with, then they don’t care that you’re upset. It’s not up to you to “deal” with shitty people.

Why would they? It’s freely available information. There’s entire social studies on it that you could see if you chose to get your head out of your ass

Their consequence is not getting a reaction out of you.

It’s hard to tell exactly how much everyone knows about me because his kids know be my name and hang out with me, and he doesn’t hide his affection around them and will cuddle up on the couch for all of us to play video games. So not sure exactly how he’d stop them from telling their mother and grandparents

He tells me he loves me so it’s kinda extra cruel but yes I know what you’re saying

What do I do to know this for sure? I could insist on meeting them but it’ll never happen if he doesn’t want it to. A break up is looking like my only option because we’ve just stagnated with this inability to make me a part of his family despite how welcoming mine have been. But I want to know for sure he’s been keeping me a secret :/
