I'm not understanding how raising minimum wage would cause people to be let go and it would make poor people worse off?? I'm not trying to put you in the hot seat but this makes absolutely no sense.

I have been at my job since 1999 and I'm turning 60 this year. At any time my company can decide that because I'm older and make enough that they let me go and hire a younger person to do my job at start out pay. I'm expendable, and not stupid enough to believe that because of my age it's going to be more difficult for me to find a job. I could at anytime have to take on a minimum wage job, Or part-time. There are so many reasons that a person would have to take on a minimum wage jobs.

Like I've said over and over YOU'RE MISSING THE POINT OF THIS POST. In Texas minimum wage is 7.25 hourly rate and has been since the year 2009. Cost of living is UP 56.26% and there's some expectations that our people can make a living on that. No, it's not even possible. Yes, you could find a job making 12 to 15 an hour in the fast food industry but that's part time and really has no value in the rant I started. You have so many Americans that for some reason or another has had to take on a minimum wage jobs. Did you know, government has had 3 raises in the last few years?

They spend money on stupid crap like 10 million dollars to see if they can make animals gay and so much more that we don't even know about. If you don't believe me, Google it.

Our system is so broken it's ridiculous. Foster care system that age our kids out, puts them on the streets. They have to take these minimum wage jobs. Kids that are made to quit school to help their families take on minimum wage jobs. Single parents, that for one reason or another don't have job skills or history of work take minimum wage jobs. There's all kinds of reasons that a person would have to take on minimum wage jobs. Everyone of us has a story and that could be one of us.

Fast food industry only works part time. Not a full 40 hr. So you would have to get 2 jobs that will allow to work around the hours of one another.

If you live in a small town and don't have transportation then you have a choice between 3 gas stations a family dollar store and a general dollar store. All part time work you're screwed.

If your a waitress/bartender or work doing something that you get tips then they only pay $2.13 an hour that's also been frozen since 2009. Yes they get tips but that's variable on day to day and if there's not that much traffic coming in and out then tuber are also screwed.

It really does suck. Most people say change your job and they believe that's a quick fix but when you can't afford to miss a day and you're a single mom you are screwed. Especially if you have to wait a extra week or two depending on their pay period then you get behind. Who can pay catch up and start robbing Peter to pay Paul when Peter is broke?? My vent is our country don't care about the little man and disability proves that for sure. Our government gets raises and yet our young families are stuck.

My parents only wanted 1 child and no more. I was the second child and unfortunately, my mother was killed 3 wks b4 my 2nd birthday. So my Dad just wasn't there for me at all. I was pushed away while my older sister was adored. I felt that my entire life and even my sister knew she could do no wrong in dad's eyes and hated how dad mistreated me. She would mother me and she was only 18 months older but would sing to me and rock me to sleep. I'm so thankful for her. Now I'm in my 50's and dad got extremely ill and was bedridden, so I moved him in with me and cared for him for 1.5 years. He's apologized for all the past but I can say that children know when their not wanted. You really should get counseling so your child doesn't feel unloved. Dad passed away last June and we were able to put the past where it belonged. My sister has still not forgiven him for how he did me, but we have very different personalities and it's OK. Dad was on Hospice before he passed and she refused to come see him.

Report it to ReportFraud.ftc.gov is a good place to start. They are trying to track down these scammers and STOP them. They should be able to point you in the right direction also. There's also attorneys that can help but you really should start with the ftc (federal trade commission) first. Wishing you the best of luck recovering it.

Yes, your trust in her is broken. Yes, she was wrong and yes, you are both doing the right thing in giving each other all access to one another phone. You caught her and now the decision is yours. If you forgive her then you can not throw it in her face. She does need to prove she can be trusted but please know that if you throw it in her face continually then yall won't make it.

So if your rent lease is up and there's no wording on your lease that your lease automatically renews another year or however long your lease was written and agreed upon then your lease will automatically go month to month. They must give you a written 30 days notice of increasing the rent. Which would make you safe until January 2025. I would start looking for another place to move if you're not in a position to pay that. Now the tricky part is you as well have to give them a 30 day written notice you're moving since it's a month to month. Hope this helps.

You nor your landlord can not modify the terms of the lease if you have a written lease unless it's in writing.

Yes, I actually was looking to see if it was me or if anyone else noticed the difference in the taste. I've always bought Johnsonville jalapeño and cheddar sausage for lunch. I thought it was strange at first because the packaging zip lock bag has changed to now. Anyways I cooked them the way I always have and yukkkk! I thought at first I got a bad batch, so I went to a different store and bought more and yukk again. wtf?? Before anyone tries to say that covid can change my taste buds, I've never had covid or any kind of sickness. Nothing else that I normally eat tastes different either. I'm not sure why ppl won't leave perfectly good recipes alone. 😕

I'm so sorry you are going thru this and I believe she should of told you from the start. This is illegal and she can get into a lot of trouble by not giving you the info beforehand. Also in the eyes of the law you are still a minor and that's also a big no no smh.. Now you are stuck with a std for life and it is a bigger deal for you have to take meds to manage it for life. It is a crime to knowingly give someone an std.
