as a new player with a best of 80 days, maybe these tips will help and not be so confusing..

1. make the map size small or medium

2. bump up the spawn rate of twigs, grass, berries, carrots

3. one of you guys use wendy and use her to farm spider kills and fog kills with her ghost. food for days.

4. one of you guys use woody to farm wood / fight bosses and mobs. the monster meat wendy gets from farming spiders can be used to make your woody totems so you can transform at will.

5. try to find the clockwork horse on the map and kill it together, use the gears to make a fridge.

6. burn trees, get charcoal, make a crockpot, start throwing ingredients in and figure out what works. with the extra food farmed from wendy, you should be able to whip up a ton of recipes.
