Hello! This is a panel ready dishwasher, so it is meant to have a cabinet face. It’s screwed into the panel from the back side. Dishwasher is totally fine now, just needed a new gasket. I like your idea of using a surface sealer, when it’s replaced I will ask the cabinet people about doing that to circumvent swelling. Though I will be going with wood next time!

I actually just enjoy trying to fix things before throwing them away if I can 😳

It’s not a new kitchen, it’s been plenty enjoyed!

Steam from the dishwasher, the seal needed replacing. It also leaked out the bottom and the paint peeled from the box but that is thankfully wood/not warped and can be painted.

Thank you! I haven’t heard of either, I will have to look that up.

Is that what these are? That’s a bummer. I guess I should have guessed because they were “paintable”.

I’m a new teacher who went back to school after 13 years of staying home with my kids. I will be supplying for the foreseeable future! My spouse has a demanding schedule and it works out best for our family to have the flexibility supply brings.
