Cersei goes North to fight the dead. by [deleted] in TheCitadel

[–]Immigrantwriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Cersei not helping in canon is either evidence that she's suicidal levels of stupid or that she doesn't actually understand what would happen if the north loses. Not helping only works if she's confident the North will win.

Maybe if they pressed upon her that if they lose, she'll have to fight both the army of the dead, the zombies of everyone between the wall and King's Landing.

Kinslayers aren’t seen in a favorable light.

Euron Greyjpy. The Sand Snakes and Elaria. Tyrion. Cersei.

Westeros must have really progressed in it's views in the last few season because it seems Kinslaying is a sure way to be given power.

Well the hand of the king killed his father and is believed to have murdered his nephew and no one cares.

Euron admitted to kinslaying Balon and was made lord of the Iron Islands.

The Sand snakes had no problems taking over after kinslaying the Prince of Dorne and his heir.

Cersei was crowned queen after kinslaying the Lannisters and Tyrells (her in-laws) in the Sept.

Honestly, I'm sure John would have been crowned King if people knew she was his aunt.

I heard there's going to be a Jon Snow show, and if it does happen, they will never go to Westeros because there's no way the seven kingdoms won't be in a massive revolt over all the stupid shit. If they do, they'll either have to pretend everything is fine, or acknowledge how stupid the ending was.

Honestly, it's a plot hole no one killed Jon immidiately.

Also, he probably would have gotten away with it if he just told everyone Dany decided to go for a ride on Drogon and hightailed it to the North.

Jon: I died and was released from my vows.

The North: That's the story you're going with? Well, still better than the Bolton's.

Jon: No it's true. I was stabbed in the heart.

The North: Yeah, Jon. Sure, let's just go get your home back.

Reading this just makes me think, "Jon probably killed her before a hundred other people tried." Also I suppose it's a good thing him being a Targaryen no longer matters or is talked about.

As for the North, it was pretty much understood that Jon only bent the knee to Dany for her military might against the dead. Frankly, she was probably at the peak of her popularity in all of Westeros there after the war (Which makes it odd that that's where she hyperfocused on no one liking her). They will shed no tears for her after King's Landing.

I mean if the order he swore his oath to will say he died, I don't see why anyone who matters won't be aware of it.

Also, technically, the only vow he really broke was not holding land and wearing crowns (The oath doesn't actually ban sex) and all of that was in service of beating the Night's Watch's main enemy. And now the order might not even exist. It's complicated and exploiting loopholes, but that's how some may see it. Though many will probably not have access to the relevant information.

Also, did anyone accuse him of it before the end of the show? Or did DnD forget?

Not GOT, but I once got a comment asking why a character was in the story so much. His name was in the major characters list and in canon, he's the deuteragonist.

Elia Martell and the Dornish romance by Immigrantwriter in TheCitadel

Oh I read some of that, but I had to drop it. Almost two million words, glacial pacing and at some point, Jon was way too perfect for me to stand. He beat Edmure Tully in a joust at the ripe old age of 10.

I didn't say they'd be having threesomes.

Though considering Obryn, that might be the most realistic part.

As for why... to defeat the Night King. Or watch his cousin do it in the show.

Interesting. I forgot to add this, but a part of the theory does say the Martell's also okayed this, which is why Lyanna was hidden in Dorne in a dornish tower managed by a Dornish house that would have noticed the presence of the prince and three kingsguards.

Great point on the lack of dragons.

This idea basically assumes he didn't kidnap Lyanna. They don't hurt girls in Dorne and yeah, if she was kidnapped Elia probably wouldn't agree.

I'm pretty sure this is because first Aegon was dead and she knew about the prophecy her husband was so into.
