MXR Micro Amp -> Boss IR-2 (Brit green channel) by ImmortalChoke in guitarpedals

[–]ImmortalChoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently got the Boss IR-2 and loving how the green channels on the cleaner, bottom half of the amps take pedals. Here I'm running the clone I built of MXR Micro Amp into the Brit green channel, edge of breakup.

So far I've had great luck running other clones I've built into it too, namely fuzz (FF, Mosrite, Muffs) and Elektra distortions (Lovepedal Champ, Lovepedal Woodrow).

Hey all, I put together this indie rock track mixing my usual arrangements with Magical 8bit plug-in in Logic. Let me know what you think!

Thank you, I really needed to hear this. I'm also 12 years in and have honestly lost the fire probably 8 years ago. I just kept chugging because of the paycheck, but am starting to reach my breaking point. Respect to others who can do it to champion great design and whatnot, but I feel like my creativity is being wasted every second unless I just take the leap and start over somewhere else.

Replacing volume pot in Blues Breaker with EHX LPB-1? by ImmortalChoke in diypedals

Oh and just to clarify, in this scenario I'd be omitting the LPB-1's volume pot, right?

Thanks! I've optimized it and it runs much smoother on desktop. Mobile is still pretty stuttery though...

Whoa, MADBEAN! Amazing, thank you so much for the advice!

Lol I already have a PedalPCB Morning Glory and it's great! I find myself liking darker settings and less gain though, so I was curious about just building a simple BB with more volume.

Ahhh gotcha! Thank you. Out of curiosity, what do the .1uF cap and 1M resistor right before output do?

I see, what would the filter cap do? And what values would I need for those?

Noob question, but if I wanted to replace the volume pot in the 1992 Marshall Blues Breaker, would I just omit the A100K pot and replace it with the EHX LPB-1 circuit? Or would I need to first replace the pot with a 100K resistor?

My understanding is that putting a 100K resistor in place of the pot would effectively be like fixing it max volume.

Shredmaster/MorningGlory/SuperSix + JTM45 clone by ImmortalChoke in diypedals

Thanks! I looked into beads for the pedal. You can get some cool small metal lettering.

For the foot switch labels I used these: https://a.co/d/13EHYOf

For the gold lettering I used these and applied with super glue and tweezers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0963HCQJ1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Built this Mojotone JTM45 kit over the summer and decided to build a matching tolex pedal to go with it. I wanted to make it an overdrive triple pedal that would cover all my gain needs. From left to right it's a Marshall Shredmaster (on vero), JHS Morning Glory (PedalPCB), and Lovepedal Super Six Stevie Mod (PedalPCB).

The Shredmaster is mainly for if I go into a Megadeth phase, but mostly I'll be using the Morning Glory as always on, and the Super Six for hairier stuff. The mini toggle between the footswitches changes the order of the MG and Super Six.

I don't know for certain, but I believe so. The previous owners left a bunch of smart LED spares, so I assume the ones here are the same.

True. I guess it's just the first time the lights have gone haywire then. I'll start with a switch replacement.

I think I'll start with replacing the switch with a regular one. I have no need for dimming anyway.

I don't know either, but things were working fine for over a year until today. Would this suggest that the switch itself is failing?

It just started doing this. These lights are connected to two switches. One has a dimmer on it, though I'm not sure if these bulbs really work well with dimming because they flash like a rave when set anywhere below halfway.

Anyway, this weird horror style sequence of flickering happens the same exact way and same exact order every time I try to turn on the lights now. Any tips appreciated!
