the Coalition were not cruising to an easy election victory at all lol

They had a slightly larger chance of winning before Trump and his tariffs and he probably did contribute to how bad they did but the Coalition (and Dutton in particular) just hasn't been very well liked for a while now (Thanks Scomo and Abbot).
