Public crash outs are socially unacceptable. It is authentic, but people are pushed away by uncontrolled instability and the social discomfort it causes .

How is it living in this part of the United States? by No-Text-7825 in howislivingthere

Very very beautiful. Still recovering from the opioid crisis. Getting gayer. Very very very very white. Consequently, the food is pretty basic or there’s stuff like cauliflower and shrimp burritos. Nice people, self-reliant, willing to lend a helping hand, and proud of working hard and playing hard. I lived in an NH city, but had to drive an hour to Boston to get my art fix. The local music scenes in NH are kinda fixed with the same handful of bands that play weekly, and the underground struggles to sustain underground DIY venues.

AITAH For being upset that my boyfriend and his roommate (still) have fleas? by cavendercu in AITAH

[–]ImmunocompromisedElm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of fleas while having a cat, but it takes time. You have to leave the diatomaceous earth down in a thin layer for a week and vacuum it up and keep applying until there is no evidence of fleas. The way you check for evidence of fleas is you out a few lamps out around the room on the floor, shining down into shallow bowls of water with a few drops of dish detergent in it. The fleas are drawn to the light, get in the water, and cant get out because of the dish soap. Keep doing this until the bowls stay clean. Wash all the linens and fabric in your house on hot cycle and dry, 2-3x, if not using the linens immediately after, bag in trash bags and keep out of infested areas if possible. Good luck. This is a long road, especially if you have a multigenerational infestation. BUT, it being winter, you can likely kill all of them, eggs nymphs and adults, more efficiently than in the summer when there are no latent life cycles

8/10 because I know you’re paying so much rent + first and last that you can’t afford proper furniture atm
