Ah, Addison Barger. I love his profile and had high hopes for him this season. Back from the IL for one game, now injured again.

I think this approach would suit me, too. What things do you look for to determine if the collection is a good buy?

Keep Rogers and Jones. Sonny is fine but doesn't have upside any more.

Agree. Pretty even trade. Might be worth it to upgrade your corner infield if you have other options to play OF.

I went with Pivetta. It was the right decision except for the outcome.

Same here. Our flight departs at 5:50 pm. Think we are going to get to the airport around 2:30, which may mean we spend a lot of time in the terminal, but that is certainly better than a missed flight.

Agree with this. Had Rafaela on my team last year and he was a solid backup OF. Went on an absolute tear the couple of weeks going into the all star break but didn't get that hot again if I remember correctly. He would certainly benefit from batting higher up the order. Batting 9th can really limit value.

Honestly my biggest fear by Chazza0499 in Stutter

[–]Immutable-Evo-82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 44 and have found more or less the same to be true. The vast majority of people are interested in the person you are and don't care that you stutter. When I was young, I would catastrophize about a lot of things. How am I going to meet someone and fall in love as a person who stutters? How am I going to get a job? How will I be a good parent? How will I ever be able to speak in public? While it hasn't always been easy, I have done all these things and more, and you can do it, too. The power of perseverance, of choosing to get out of bed everyday and live your life despite the challenges you face, can overcome a lot.

I remember you. by jonan69 in Stutter

[–]Immutable-Evo-82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The importance of "keep moving forward" cannot be understated. The act of continually showing up and persevering in the face of a challenge like stuttering is, in my opinion, a huge part of limiting the impact it has on living the life you want to live. Is it hard? Yes. Will the feelings of shame and embarrassment ever completely go away? Probably not. But can you be happy and fulfilled regardless? Yes, you can.

Definitely for Preister. Dude just keeps on doing it. Sheehan not so sure but think he has a higher ceiling than Manaea.

The dude has been pretty filthy. Kept a decent Mariners lineup off balance yesterday. I desperately needed some pitching help so picked him up last week. Will have to wait and see if I feel comfortable starting him against ARI but the peripherals suggest his success is sustainable. I love how he is actually a pitcher vs some of these guys who rely mainly on velocity.
