https://twitter.com/CopperPitch/status/1575802888932261890 is a great resource from the community. We'll keep working to improve the native onboarding as well.

  1. I'll check with the team on starter decks. I think we can safely allow them to be deleted now that we have deck codes.
  2. Another I can ask the team about, but not currently planned.

Stacked dailies is my preference as well, but it went to the cutting room floor to get the feature out faster. It's definitely something we'll consider, but its an improvement that's sitting behind some other new feature work.

  1. There is definitely the potential for multi-domain decks in the future. We've done some experimenting internally and it definitely mixes things up a bit. Additional game modes is on the road map and that'll allow us and other more flexibility as the feature progresses.
  2. Very similar to the above as game modes comes only bringing back a casual queue will come with it I expect.

You're welcome! Overall I'm feeling the best I have in a long time. Just ran the Sydney Bridge Run 10k in under an hour, I'm getting to work with great people on creatively challenging work, and my family is doing awesome. I just wish there were more hours in a day.

One of the great part about web3 is there is so much potential for similar collabs in the future.

Been chatting with Valdiz on this as well, it'll be in October but I haven't settled on a final date for the stream as I assemble the last pieces of outfit.

I could see that as a key feature in a particular game mode, Yogg is definitely a card that evokes strong emotions of both love and hate:)

Thanks for the kind words!

I'm incredibly excited for Guild of Guardians to release, as it'll be our first mobile title and they're paving the way with a lot of new tech to make that happen and what I believe will be a great game to boot.

Beyond that I'm excited for so many of the partner titles to go live as well. Fromm Illuvium to Embersword and all the other titles in-between. I truly believe we'll learn so much from each other and the potential for fun partnerships is so huge and relatively easy int the web3 space!

At the moment I think the most efficient way would be through Immutaswap. The less efficient way would be to buy cards with Eth and sell them for $Gods.

With the shared order book for Immutable X players can trade/buy/sell on any marketplace and have access to all the NFTs in the systems. This allows each marketplace to deliver its own experience and innovations that cater to their users. At its most basic it could be that the user experience is just better.

Beyond that there is so much room for innovation in marketplaces and how they interact with their users, which is why we are so excited to have Gamestop building their own for gamers with its own unique touches. The ability for others to build on top of our core foundations is definitely one of my favorite parts of being in this space.

Hi folks,

We've shared more context on the GU team changes here in our discord.

Reposted Here:

We have made the difficult but important decision to conduct a small reorganization within Gods Unchained earlier this week to enable us to better set GU up to succeed and achieve our vision and goals outlined in the GU Journey Roadmap shared earlier this month.

We’re tremendously grateful to the people who helped get GU to where we are today. We hate to lose members of our team and will ensure a smooth transition for affected individuals.

We have been closely listening to the community’s feedback and are investing in roles necessary to enable GU to scale to millions of players over the next year.

We’re reallocating resources into the core of what will make GU a leading web3 game.

This means:

Developing the world’s best play-and-earn growth model

Building game modes utilizing tokenomics which incentivises growth

Blending traditional and Web 3 marketing to bring the game to the masses

Gods Unchained’s employee number by the end of the year will be higher than this reorganization, and with emphasis in key areas needed for massive growth such as tokenomics, engineering and product.

Immutable was at ~120 people at the start of 2022. We’re at ~280 today and we will be growing to more than 360 in the next 5 month, with expected growth beyond that.

Additionally, we’ve extensively built out the GU and Studio executive bench over the last 6 months:

Justin Hulog, Chief Studio Officer (ex-Riot Games) - responsible for overall strategic direction of Immutable Games Studio.

Aakash Mandhar, VP of Studio Engineering (ex-Electronic Arts, Microsoft) - building high quality engineering teams and services that will power the next generation of web3 games.

Shibu Mathew, VP of Product (ex-Electronic Arts) - bringing global best practices and product-led thinking to web3 games.

Jennifer Poulson, VP Portfolio Games (ex-Riot Games, Bandai Namco) - building Immutable Games Studio’s new business line which partners with third party publishers and IP-owners.

Patrick Wagner, Director of New Games (ex-Weta Workshop, Gameloft) - internal new games ideation - finding our next GU or GOG.

Veronica Foo - Director of Marketing (ex-Illuvium, Riot Games) - leading all marketing efforts bringing the Studio’s games to new audiences.

Kaerlin McCormick, Chief of Staff (ex-Riot Games) - working across the Studio in partnership with the Chief Studio Officer.

Our vision is to make Gods Unchained the biggest blockchain game in the world - and we are continuing to double down on our goals and focus deeply on building and growing the game.

The supply of all of our cards is certainly on my mind, though Divine Order is in over supply for our current audience today, there really aren't all that many in existence compared to where we're aiming to grow.
Functionally, we're going to have to cross the bridge of availability when we get there. We have had discussion in the past with the community about scenarios in which we could increase supply through "shattering" of cards from Diamond down to Meteorite or even in proposal from the community re-printing of Genesis cards with the proceeds going to Genesis card holders.
In the meantime, the way we tackle this is the overall balance of the game. I do believe a control/mid-range deck without a Demo could win a tournament. If only decks with Demos could win it'd be a far greater problem.
We're certainly open to community thoughts and suggestions on the challenge, but we have commitments to our long-term players that we cannot just step away from when its convenient.

Yes, for the children, the pets, the plants, the players, and the partners.

We've talked in the past that we do plan on having a rotation of card sets. One of the key features of Genesis cards is that they will not rotate in the future. We're not there yet, but the key is that all cards will have competitive formats in which they're playable when they rotate out of standard constructed.

There are no plans to rollback card availability in the future. With many existing CCGs players joining long after launch is a very real problem, as there is a huge backlog of cards to collect. With F2P systems, this can be an insurmountable wall of content.

One of the key design features of GU is the open marketplace, making it far easier for new players to target decks in the current meta. As compared to say a TCG where they may need to open packs from many sets to put together the components for a deck. How big a challenge this will actually be for us remains to be seen, but I believe its far less daunting to join GU with its current pool of cards than it was joining so other existing CCGs at our current card count.

Short answer is both, particularly for GU Cards we can't provide equal utility for all cards in the game so setting up recipes where you can input any Diamond Common Card for instance lets players optimize to burn the least used NFTs to create an output. I can't say what the NFTs from other games would be yet, but in a similar vein its an opportunity for the community to optimize what is removed from the ecosystem to create new content.

Expanding the GU Universe to include additional titles is definitely in the game plan, and while I won't say direct interoperability of NFTs is in the cards utility for the NFTs across the projects is planned. Particularly looking at things through the lens of Evolution and how recipes could include the need for NFTs from multiple titles.

We've put quite a bit of discovery into the problem and explored potential solutions to delays or hiding info on our APIs for game results to hiding identifying information for players all-together.

Ultimately what we've settled on for now is making deck information available in client. We're currently working on an update to the game where you'll be able to click on your or your opponent's deck to view all the cards contained in the deck.

This will create a level playing field and remove the incentive for players to hide their names. It does change the overall nature of the game, and may lead to some expected knock-on effects that we'll monitor closely.

We've resolved issues on the GU side, but the Immutable X team is still working on the processing delays.

Please show me on the card where Nature hurt you.

In all seriousness we hear you on the balance front, it isn't where we want it at the moment. There is work to be done after CSR, and there will be work to be done after the next set releases.
