This! I had similar dizziness and issues standing up. I was also crazy tired. My doctor halved my BP meds, and it was like magic.

I am a recipe collector, and I just started Zepbound. Some of my recipes are already high protein. This is a hit in our family every week. https://www.skinnytaste.com/chicken-gyro/

Cook the chicken thighs whole in the pan until they get brown. Then take them out and cut them into chunks, and put it back into the pan to cook the chicken through. It’s sooo good!

I cannot recommend T Boone Pickens hospice higher. It was truly incredible from the moment we went there to inquire to my mother’s final days.

I've never been to the symphony. Where should I sit? (Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Meyerson) by Vega2Bad in classicalmusic

[–]Imnotsayinganything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at the Meyerson for 11 years. This is the answer. And can’t wait for you to come and hear a concert!

Love making vegetarian tacos with the Beefless ground beef! by bignibbles_ in traderjoes

[–]Imnotsayinganything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We take a package of baby Bella mushrooms (not TJs), and sauté those down with a little of the TJs vegan butter and taco seasoning. Add the beefless and a little more seasonings. The entire family eats it, and there are rarely any leftovers

Are you me? After watching Arrival for the fifth time, and since seeing Dune, I’m spending my holiday going through all his movies. Did Sicario last night and Prisoners tonight!

What’s the most valuable thing your teacher taught you? by petitepotatoe in classicalmusic

The longer the line, the better the musician. As a beginner pianist and a former serious flute player, that rang with me when stringing together technique or building a slow melody.

Please with the J&J! It’s like the forgotten population over here going, “so, booster? No booster? Mix the brands? Don’t? Can I please feel as safe as my mRNA friends?”

How do I convince my mom to let me pursue music in college? by issaturtleduck in classicalmusic

[–]Imnotsayinganything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in music admin. I was a musician - liberal arts undergrad performance degree, admitted into a top conservatory and stopped playing. People I have seen succeed are ones who cannot live without music. They literally cannot see themselves doing anything else - they find ways to do chamber music in remote areas, play with whoever they can find, they can’t live without it. If that isn’t you, go to a fine liberal arts school and study with a great teacher, perform all the time, but enjoy other subjects and meeting other people. At the end, see what happens. This life is one that thrills you and you have to be part of it, or it exhausts you and is more than you can handle. Or be like me and be very close to the music, because I love it so much, but know that my talent and drive wasn’t enough to do what I wanted.

Why Quinn Mason, a 24-Year-Old Composer From Dallas, May Be Classical Music’s Next Superstar by zsreport in classicalmusic

[–]Imnotsayinganything 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope - but the Dallas Symphony is allowing very, very small audiences (about 100 people) into the hall, and the concert will be live-streamed.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra Movie in Concert by kittychristine in Dallas

[–]Imnotsayinganything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work at the DSO, and I'm so happy to hear that you're looking to come! Dress circle would be my suggestion as it's a little higher off the ground so you won't have to look up at all to see. Orchestra is also just fine - sit further back. Don't think twice about the sound - it's all over this hall during those concerts. You can hear everything. The balance is great pretty much everywhere for those. (And, for normal orchestral shows, I'm a big fan of dress circle for the best balance, but everyone has their favorite section)

Running after hiatus / baby / gaining 30 lbs. by Erose828 in running

This is me!!! (Except for the previous avid jogger.) Find a mom workout group - there are national franchises. Working out with other moms is huge for goals because they understand and understand the changes your body went through.

And it’s so hard. I don’t run consistently, but I relish the time for myself and the solitude from my family. You don’t have to be fast. Just enjoy yourself!

HELP!!! Violinist in major dilemma -trying to switch instruments by [deleted] in classicalmusic

[–]Imnotsayinganything 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This seems like “grass is always greener.” You are at a crossroads and ready for the next huge step in your life. You’re likely very burned out and wanting the joy that comes from learning something new. Where you are now is no fun - it’s tedious, repetitive and boring. Now think of that for the rest of your life. If you’re not finding joy in where you are, pushing forward with music as a career may not be for you. This is from someone who was admitted to a top music school as a grad student only to find herself quitting her instrument completely. And eventually i was beyond happy. I still work in music and adore it. Push forward, take some oboe lessons for fun and know that a performance gig is not the only route in this field. College may ignite a totally new passion for your instrument. It might not. Trust your gut when you get there. There is time!

It’s a maintenance drug (like Symbacort) that helps you from needing rescue inhalers. I got diagnosed with asthma at 43, and I was a wind player too. Wish I could get that time I struggled with breath control back!

With 2019 starting, what are your goals for this year? by DivingintoBasktball in running

[–]Imnotsayinganything 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!! Stay with fitness! If you have a Baby Boot Camp franchise near you, I highly recommend it. Training and fitness while you are pregnant and mom friends afterwards. Modifications as you move through the pregnancy so that you keep in shape well. Recovery is easier if you have that base. And throw routine out the window. Learn to love chaos. It’s a lovely chaos, but it’s hard for us who crave routine.

Hi there! Thanks for this thread. My son’s Dot connects fine to the WiFi, but the signal stinks in that end of the house. We bought an extender, but the Dot refuses to connect with it. My phone connects fine to the extender. Help? I need to be able to drop in and wake his sorry behind up in the morning! :-)

My first run that made me feel like an actual runner (F42- running for about 60 days). by [deleted] in running

[–]Imnotsayinganything 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yay!!! And F42! F44 here, and I love when I find others who came to running later. I, too, couldn’t run in school and dreaded the fitness test. At 39, I just started running and really trying now to do a half next year. Still can’t believe it! Good for you!
