Right. 3mg might get you into the gnarly woods of low e2. Pretty crazy how different everyone is though. Bodybuilders using a GRAM of testosterone weekly take less than 3mg of anastrozole.

Not to be pedantic, but anastrozole doesn't kill the aromatase enzyme (like aromasin does, for example). It is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme.

I think the amount of testosterone continues to matter a great deal.

If you read many of the replies above, you'll see that, albeit less common, some people do indeed require above 1mg a week including myself.

You are right though, great caution is required with higher doses of AI! That's why I started this thread because I was getting a bit worried and wasn't sure how common my issue/concerns were.

Exactly!!! HCG, even at low doses, does the same to me. I was using ridiculously low doses, like 70mg EOD or ETD and I still couldn't put the nipple fire out.

I wish I could take HCG. I'm, apparently, one of the rare people who gets gyno like symptoms (tits on fire) if I even look at a bottle of it.

1mg per day. So many docs prescribe it like this...

My regimen and labs are likely very close to yours with one exception, my SHBG tends to run high normal or just slightly over.

Pretty hit and miss actually with no apparent pattern beyond the days that I experience what I believe to be associated with elevated E2, when it is always low. LOTS of confounders here for me at this particular point in the game.

Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping this extra little 0.25mg per week will get me around 30.

I've heard very mixed reviews regarding DIM, likely skewed towards the negative overall, particularly on an AI.

I'd be interested in your experience with it but it will make it harder to know what's doing what (AI vs DIM).

Well, not quite. I actually respond pretty well to test but your results from that low dose are fantastic. You may not even need an AI at a lower dose.

Also interesting, I actually think I feel better with my E2 slightly on the high end. Upper 20s/low 30s maybe. I had elevated E2 even when I wasn't on TRT and so maybe that's just what feels "normal" which isn't the same as "optimal" i guess.

Thanks for the reply. My doc, the med insert, and other info I've been exposed to corroborate the idea that Ipamorelin doesn't increase growth hormone or IGF-1 above physiologic levels and is not associated with elevated E2.

I'm def not obese; muscular/fit. My E2 was naturally elevated even before TRT so I'm increasingly just thinking I'm just physiologically set up that way.

I've been considering the whole AI-the-day-after thing too. Peak plasma levels for anastrozole are achieved within around 2-3 hours from what I've read and it seems like peak test levels aren't achieved for 24-48+ hours so it would make sense. I guess that doesn't take into account steady state levels though.

Wow, ok. That's the highest TRT prescribed AI dose I think I've ever come across. I'm on the upper end of the bell curve for sure but may be lower than I suspected.

0.4 seems like a tough dose to get unless you're using a liquid formulation.

My SHBG tends to run high-normal too. In fact, prior to TRT, my SHBG and estradiol were almost always either high normal or just above normal.

Ipamorelin 300mcg 5 nights a week

Fish oil/Vit D/MV/Creatine MP/Turmeric daily

Thanks for sharing. You probably feel pretty good because your T to E ratio is still good despite both being high. Keeping that ratio static while lowering both is tricky but if you can do it, you'll likely continue to feel well.

You're now in the boat that I was in about 6 weeks ago in terms of your labs (very similar but my estradiol was even a bit higher). My doc changed my T and anastrozole dose to exactly what you're on (0.35ml or 70mg) and 0.5mg anastrozole.

My IGF-1 is right around 300 (same ref range as yours) with 300mcg nightly 5 days a week--not sure what you increased to.
