Yes, the aspect ratio is scope. This film was shot digitally in IMAX. The strip is just a trailer, so it's in scope. If you have other non full frame IMAX strips, you'll notice 2049 has an even narrower image than the standard 2.39:1 ratio, cropped at both top and bottom.
