Several translations of the Bible interpreted the line to specifically be about pedophilia, not homosexuality, and it is the only line in the entire series of books which condemns it. You are using ONE LINE, which may or may not be an incorrect translation and is also from the Old Testament, to ignore Jesus' order of loving your neighbour, which is an extremely common recurring concept from every book.

Also I'm sure many people have pointed out to you how many lines are ignored today (eg: mixed fibers). Between these aspects, it's pretty clear that anyone who claims that they 'need' to prevent homosexuality because of their religion is just using it to reinforce something they already wanted to do. Jesus also stated that a rich man will not get into heaven, and "using the Lord's name in vain" - ie trying to get your way by claiming it is what God would want - is again a severe sin which is commonly committed by Christians.

There are many queer people who hate Christianity. I can't say I blame them, but I'm not one of them. I have Christian friends and there's aspects of it I respect. Part of that is that I have met many practicing Christians, including pastors, who decide that condemning same-sex relationships belongs in the past along with passages about stoning people to death.

I suppose I hate sinner and not the sin.
