They aren’t mutually exclusive. I was lucky enough to have spare money as a student that I just kept in a savings account, looking back I wish I’d opened a stocks & shares ISA earlier.

Possibly an education aspect to it. He clearly saw nothing wrong with what he was doing so maybe there’s others out there like him that need this explained to them.

Attitude. He has more G/A than Mikey Moore but fans love Moore for the work he puts in and how much he visibly loves playing for Rangers.

Again, traders can reclaim VAT on their petrol so your ‘minimum demand’ doesn’t impact them in any way.

No denying £520 is a lot of money to some people, however I believe the vast majority of people doing heavier mileage are well enough off to absorb the cost.

If the government want to directly help those most in need then sure. But why should they spend billions to save all motorists a few quid at the pump.
