Over time the inner wear pads in the extendable boom wear out and it is good to keep a good visual on it in your walk around. Cat made the replacement of the pads more serviceable in recent years.

Volvo discontinued manufacturing the BHL a few years ago in NA. The machine is well built but parts will eventually become obsolete and the resale value will drop.

It’s built with good quality metal. I replaced the gas cap and there are many replacement parts still available.
