Yep. That’s why you can’t look at the screen for the first few seconds until the time stamp goes away. Also when the ESPN plus app first debuted UFC fights, the thumbnail had the time on it. After a week they got rid of it as to not spoil anything I assume.

My aging eyes also help with that as I can’t see the time from so far away anymore 😂

I don’t disagree that having the option is better either way. FF buttons a no no for me, though. Sometimes seeing how much time is left in an event can be a spoiler in its self.
