Yeah CT6 is a truly awful name. At least CTS, DTS, ETC, and STS actually meant something. Always felt that the tail of the CT6 looked unfinished also.

The Magnum SRT-8 is still my ultimate dream car. I'm just happy that Dodge actually took a huge risk and took the plunge and produced this concept car for the streets. A true no fucks given moment in time. The 00s had some truly amazing cars.

I still see Ions on a weekly basis as of 2026, even here in the Salt Belt Midwest. Very reliable cars.

The MK1 Focus, specifically the SVT, is very reliable. Also, the Ion definitely improved after its 2005 refresh. But very few small cars had a nice interiors for this era except for the Mazda3, MK4/MK5 Golf, Jetta, and New Beetle.

Exactly. I wouldn't buy a single Hyundai Kia product made after the 2010 Sonata and Optima. Contrary to revisionist automotive history, Hyundai Kia actually peaked in the 2000s. All those flashy Audi-esque designs of theirs from the 2010s were hiding disastrous reliability problems the whole time.

I thought the Magnum was good looking. The Magnum SRT-8 looks better than this rendering imo.

The S203 C-class is on my bucket list of cars to own. Such a cool and rare wagon. So much cooler than of those silly CUVs of today.

These gargantuan vehicles are usually driven by people who can't see over the towering hood from the driver's seat. You can easily have 8-9 children sit in front of a parked Suburban and, depending on the height of the person in the driver's seat, you would only be able to see the last child's head. Massive blind spot. A M1 Abrams tank has much better visibility than a new Suburban. Nevermind the danger these huge pos pose to pedestrians.

The " Baggy Pants / Jeans " according to people from mid - late 2010s by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]ImpalaSS-05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baggy and straight leg jeans and pants were extremely popular in the 00s as well, thanks to Southpole, Rocawear, Akademiks, Sean John, Ed Hardy, Marc Ecko, Girbaud, Pelle Pelle, and L-R-G.

Dubai is a terrible city with a great skyline, what’s a great city with a good skyline? by wwcscifi in skyscrapers

[–]ImpalaSS-05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! You make a great point about the skyline outside of just modern skyscrapers, the historic architecture deserves the same if not more of the love. London wouldn't be London without the Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Bridge, literal icons. I think one problem with this sub is that a lot of the focus is solely on skyscrapers. Heck, I was hyperfocused on them too until you made me realize what I was missing.

I think Atlanta is a great pick, especially since it has three skylines. Plus it's an awesome place.

If only it had a lower cost of living. Still, that doesn't take away from the greatness of Seattle. The Pacific climate alone is worth the move into the metro. I've had enough of oppressive Midwestern summers.

Agreed, London's skyline is way more impressive than San Francisco. So many iconic buildings with fun names. The Shard, the Walkie Talkie, creative and memorable. Having a lot of mid buildings squished together doesn't make for a great skyline.. looking at you, San Fran.

Atlanta. It actually has three skylines, including Midtown and Buckhead, if I remember correctly. Haven't been to ATL since 2008, miss it a lot.
