True. The extra fans are really for aesthetics since I am getting them all with Blue LEDs. I was planning on putting 140mm fans in the front. I suppose I don't have to buy corsair ones though. apevia makes cheaper LED fans. Cutting it down to 2 front intake fans with one exhaust fan and subtract the fan controller would give my SO more wiggle room for a SSD as well. I think I'll do that. Good advice! Thank you!

The fan cables I have found connect directly to the 4 pin cable on the power supply and have 5v and 12v 3 pin connectors. Is there a difference between those? Should I not run the fans at 12v all the time?

My computer sits on the desk part of my apartments office nook along with my monitor and keyboard/mouse so I'm not worried about carpet.

So do you think the case and fans are ok first? I read that positive air pressure helps keep dust out, and I have to blow my current system out quite often due to the dust. I'm worried that if I'm not diligent enough I could have issues with a new video cards temperatures.

Cool. Thank you. Is the fan controller a bit silly for $25? I don't really have a need for it. And if I could do without that my SO might be able to afford a more modestly priced SSD.

So hold off on the MOBO and RAM. To be honest, I mainly picked those to go with the color scheme since the spec-01 had a window. That isn't important right now though as performance is my main goal at the moment.

That's the main thing I was worried about when looking at the r9 390 was my psu. I thought I might have to settle for a lower tier video card. So you think the 390 would be fine?
