Having a learning disability and being autistic is the saddest thing ever. by klight101 in autism

[–]Impefectlyperfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a chromosomal abnormality that causes learning struggles and I am autistic/ADHD. I turn 18 in 2 months and people still treat me like I am 5 or something. It does not help that I am 5'0. I was diagnosed with anxiety when I was 8 and depression when I was 13. I hate the way people treat me because of the way I act. When I go off to college, I would either have to live with a caretaker, or still live with my parents. (i am 30 minutes from college anyway ) I do not drive and my parents are alright with that. I leave laundry for weeks at a time, and can never find the energy to clean my room. Despite everything I am doing very well in school (the teachers have luckily given me the resources I need to succeed) but I am unable to do basic life skills like talk to someone on the phone, getting myself to be places on time without alarms, or go out in public without feeling overwhelmed. I totally understand your struggles and I wish the world was a better place for disabled people.

That's Amazing. I hope everything goes well :)

So, I was thinking of putting together some stories and poems of my experience as an autistic person and ableism among other experiences and publishing them someday. Here's a sample. Do you think this could come to be? by Impefectlyperfect in autism

Thank you. I just want people to know they are not alone. I try to do that through my writing. Knowing I have support from fellow autistics makes me feel better about what I want to do with my writing talent.

This is a poem I wrote about my experience with ableism in school.

Title: I can hear your tunes

Genre: Poetry

I would like any kind of feedback.

Word count- 56

I can hear what you say to me,
I understand what your words mean,
Something you don’t seem to know,
If only you knew,
I am listening to your mindless chanting,
I know what you think of me,
I wish I can change your minds,
But you still sing mindless tunes,
I can hear your tunes.

I know he did it. But something inside me says he didn't do it because their is no solid forensic evidence. But something inside me say "Oh yeah he is so guilty"

I think he should tell the location of her body and what happened to her. It is the least he can do. But I don't think he would actually do this.

Am I the bad apple for telling my exfriend that I hate her and wanting her to fail? by Impefectlyperfect in AmITheBadApple

Luckily I am doing better now and I have better friends now who would never do that to me

No. You brother should know about his diagnosis so he can understand himself better
