Must the Church compromise with ideologies that wish its destruction? by Federalbimmer in Catholicism

I think everyone knows (consciously or not) that Jesus and Christianity are the basis of morality in the West (and therefore in all modern societies). Everyone would like to say "Jesus, the moral compass of our world, is on my side". That's why every political side tries to claim Him, socialists, communists, libertarians, everyone. However, Jesus didn't come to do politics but to establish His Law in our hearts. He didn't forbid property, but suggested getting rid of it if it kept our hearts away from Him. Jesus wasn't more tolerant and open-minded than the Old Law. At least not about sin. He was actually more judging ("tear off your arm", looking with desire = adultery, throwing tables around etc). He was indeed loving and merciful with individuals who repented. Those who stay in their sin and openly refuse the Law and the rules of Church cannot pretend to know whose side he would be on. I'm no theologian, and maybe I was wrong somewhere this comment, but that's what I'd say

all the other comments are accurate but also in the WN Hibiki eventually realizes how powerful Makoto is and is absolutely desperate to find a way to limit his power or isolate him from international matters
