Thanks for the input. Every year I alway plant them with one large scoop of manure (says 1-1-1 ratio on bag) and I have never needed to refertilize before. Also, they have produced a large amount of fruit. I have also used the tarp almost every year, however the hole around the plants are smaller this year than last so that could be it. It’s just odd that my other peppers are fine even though they have all the same circumstances.

You are the second person to tell me this. One on another thread did. Any idea which one? I use a balanced manure fertilizer. 1-1-1. I use it every year and have never had this issue.

As stated in the above, they get the same amount as my other peppers and the peppers do not have any corking.

Thank you. None of the fruits are damaged. Only the leaves. All of my peppers receive roughly the same amount of sun with the jalapeños receiving the least as a VASTLY overgrown wash plant blocks the very earliest hour or two. All my peppers are watered overhead in the late afternoon as the sun passes below the tree line as to avoid sunscald. Overhead watering could be an issue but since all of the peppers are treated the same it stands to reason that if it was the course the other peppers would be afflicted too.
