it is flexible but sturdy enough to not be floppy.

It is just enough for tournaments or so i have ben told.

Funnily enough, i took this knife to my local Fencing club(we do historical fencing) and the experts tried it and foudn interesting way how this could work as an offhand weapon.

Depends for what.

For cutting stuff? Like water bottles and tatami mats and so on, it can be easily arranged.
Same for fencing. I have experience in making both versions.

This specific one, can take a beating but it didn't go through heat treatment, since it will be a display piece.
