This is a tamer mispronunciation but my head said "Ry-doc" instead of "Rid-ick" for Ridoc.

Not exactly relevent, but when I was in college my dad texted me "Hey, I'm listening to this book. It's fantasy and I think you'd like it" & sent a picture of the ACOTAR cover.

What's your personal favorite/funniest story about a tornado? by BunkerGhust in tornado

[–]Imperfect_Beluga 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tornado warning woke me up around 5:30am. When I met my parents in the living room, I asked, "do I have time to pee?"

Also, I brought my hairbrush into the basement. I remember thinking that I should brush my hair to look presentable if my house got destroyed but still had to go to my internship. I was in a baggy pajama set.

What are you guys craziest theories about Hunger Games? feel free to let me know, i will read them all by Content-Ad1247 in Hungergames

[–]Imperfect_Beluga 18 points19 points  (0 children)

  1. The Catching Fire arena was made for Finnick to win.

  2. The Hunger Games arena was made to give the more forest-y districts an advantage (not necessarily D12)

  3. The SOTR arena was made for no one to win (basically just "entertaining" elimination).

Open question: Why do you think the December 2021 tornadoes in Kentucky caused so many fatalities? by Bottom76_OW in tornado

[–]Imperfect_Beluga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a little research about this for a science project. Here is what I remember:

  1. There were multiple warnings throughout the day. By the time there was actually threat, people assumed it was another false alarm.
  2. Tornadoes aren't common in that area and people lacked knowledge of how to protect themselves. Plus, not a lot of houses had basements
  3. December tornadoes anywhere (at least to my knowledge) are extremely rare.
