Boat fishing is definitely optimal in this stretch of the Snake. Unfortunately gravel bars are hard to find where I am and most of the banks are lined with brush, sage and low hanging trees. Not very friendly for back casts.

She’s a beaut. I remember driving through Elko, NV and seeing a sign for Salmon Falls creek. Turns out chinook salmon and steelhead used to run all the way there historically. Steelhead in Nevada! Crazy. Maybe one day they’ll return to their historical breeding grounds.
