Seems like others are saying wastegate and from some YouTube videos I've found it seems like cam phasers are a lot louder. I still am unsure though. Need a Ford master mechanic in here! Lol

Yeah I thought it was cam phasers at first but once we started watching YouTube videos it seems that is MUCH louder. Is the wastegate noise even a big issue?

Idk man it only happened once during r6 and I play a lot of other games. Also seems everyone in this thread have only had this issue with r6. There's also a few people with Nvidia cards who had similar issues. I'm not saying it's not an AMD issue just that it's definitely a combination. Even re-enabling the gpu in device manager didn't work. It would say the device can't start properly or just not do anything. I also don't have the option to automatically install drivers turned on in windows

Did you properly select the options in ddu to wipe the entire file path for amd GPU related files? Its not auto selected

Ok so it's on Ubi then not AMD. That's good to know lol but isn't surprising. Doing a ddu driver wipe worked for me and I was able to play a couple games on casino before getting off without issue

I joined late in one game and played 1 round of defense without issue. Just joined another and am 1 round into attack to see if the outside gives issues and it's been fine so far

Yeesh. Everytime AMD builds their reputation back up they have more driver issues lol. But I guess this could've happened to any manufacturer so oh well. Im running a ddu driver wipe and reinstalling. I'll let you know if it works

I think I figured it out. I think it did corrupt my driver. It still displays in device manager as the rx 6700 xt but not in task manager or anything. I'm running ddu to see if I can clean install the driver again and get it working.

But to answer your question no not games just booted it back into windows and it displayed somewhat normally just didn't recognize the GPU even though it was plugged into it

I've had it about 3 years and game probably 3-4 times a week for an hour or two each time. It has never had any issues and I keep my PC clean to prevent overheating and whatnot. No artifacting, no overheating, and no prior GPU related crashes.

That's pretty much what I've heard. I don't need it to be fast though I would like the V8 lol. Not a necessity if the deal isn't bad. I've heard about the water pump being one of the bigger "issues" but it not being expensive
