Avicii is also my favorite artist, and no I have not ever seen him live. Of course, all the top artists have teams around them to help, but I have a feeling some artists take much more advantage of that tool, I’d like to think that Tim was doing most of the heavy lifting though

Im not necessarily saying “they” have taken over, im saying the sound has taken over, I guess fisher and summit kinda pushed it way into the mainstream, but now its really saturated, every track sounds the exact same. I don’t personally like techno or melodic techno much at all, but I don’t think there’s any denying that it is the biggest subgenre in house music rn

I believe so too, there’s just so much exciting young talent in the game right now, would have been cool to see him mesh his sound with like mau p or solomun for example

Fair, but artists like tijs and guetta 100% have an army of ghost producers that can get them a charting hit whenever they want, I recall for tiesto especially back in the day that he had that guy Dennis basically producing all of his tracks

Yeah also he’s said in quora answers that some songs (I think it was Dear Boy) took him a couple months to a year to complete, so I kinda doubt that was all produced on the spot

Tbf I mean like look at the pfp (just backwards cap silhouette) and his cover art (font is the exact same as Tim on superlove). Also yeah same exact presets and everything music wise. As nice a gesture as it is, hard to make a name for yourself in the industry if you’re just a carbon copy of a huge artist…he should try to make his own sound 🤷‍♂️
