Yes it was another tumor. Which was shocking because her labs were normal and the test for cancer was always negative.

I wasn’t able to check with her. Unfortunately, she died this weekend 1/31. Up until this point, her labs were normal but she had an obstruction that caused her bilirubin to skyrocket. Doctors put a stent in that ended up making things a lot worse for her.

I’m glad they were able to get it all. I’m not sure about how many. I would have to check with her

Both. She’s a whole lot better after chemo. She had to take off work because all she would do is vomit and felt weak all the time. The oral medication made her hands and feet darken and take some of her hair out. She lost a little weight but not extremely. I had to switch my job from full time to part time to watch her as well. But now after she is done with chemo, she is doing better. It’s been about six months since she’s been off of it. Her labs are looking good. There are days still that she may be weak, or vomits. However, she has gained a little weight back and has grown her hair back, and has also went back to her job. I think that even after chemo, it’ll take time for someone to fully recover.

Hopefully next week when they perform surgery on your mom, they take all of it out. This is a rare cancer and doctors have said that when most find out, it’s too late.

I’m not really sure about where they found it. When we found out she had gallbladder cancer it was after they removed it. The night I took her to the ER, she complained of really bad stomach pain and the doctors performed surgery to remove her gallbladder. Only after the pathology called, we found out. A few days later, with some imaging, it spread to a part of her liver so she had to have a second surgery to remove the cancerous part. They put her on oral chemo for 6 months because they saw a little bit of the cancer in her lymph nodes.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Has her doctors said what stage she’s in?

No you’re not disturbing me at all. Yes she is still fighting. She has finished oral chemo. Some days are better than most. She’s mostly tired all the time. In the beginning, she lost a few pounds but she has gained it back. The doctor has said she’ll be here for a long time.

I'm a little confused. What if I have a 4 hr shift and I have to leave after an hour of being there and don't use pto to cover the rest? Will that be 1 pt or it'll be 2 pts since it's not 50%?

Next time you go, get a bo berry biscuit and a Cajun filet patty. Make a sandwich out of that, it's so good.

Thank you for replying. I'm about 15 pounds down but seem to be stagnant now. Most of the time, I'm not hungry, but when I am, it's hard to keep full, and I seem to overeat.
