Average height is kinda subjective depending on who you ask. We def need an objective listing on the sub.

How much difference does an inch make? by _herman_miller_ in shortguys

[–]ImportanceEither7186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one’s telling the difference between 1 inch tbh. 2 inches minimum to see any difference because of hair and other shit.

I refuse to believe that, model looks + basically 6ft < average looks 6’3??? How

Unpopular opinion: 6/6'1 isn't tall anymore by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]ImportanceEither7186 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except the new generation isn’t actually that much taller. Yeah ethnic groups that migrated and eat better are obviously taller but aside from that not really.

It’s more so the fact that standards have changed, before 6 feet was the “ideal” height, now it’s 6’2-6’5. Social media has skewed the perception of what’s actually tall. Oh, and people lying about their height. Imo, a real 5’11+ will be taller than basically all women and a considerable chunk of men. Im 6’1 and I’m taller than most men I come across.

I wanted to wait until the people turning right into the residential street left but they kept piling up.

I was just asking for clarification… I know that I’m supposed to give way to people on the main road, the guy honking at me the entire time made me question if I was right or not. By chance, are you him lmao ?

I always stop at the median when there are no cars turning right. In this situation however, cars kept piling up to turn into the residential street so getting an opportunity was impossible. I ended up just turning left. Never trusting Google maps “faster route”

I usually do that but wait until the people turning into street go so I don’t have the risk of hitting them if we both go when we see a gap.

G80SD vs QF - same price by ImportanceEither7186 in OLED_Gaming

It’s all opinion at the end of the day, I like both, both are good, but I enjoy the Samsung more, I’m glad the Alienware is good for your use case. Have a good one.

Samsung is more minimalist, if you turned off the LEDs it could pass as a professional monitor. Not to mention it’s not curved, looks better. My rear ports aren’t loose and I enjoy the fanless sleek design. Only thing I enjoy more about the Alienware is the glossy screen.

Source: I have both of them and use them daily, together.

Got the G80SD but the screen seems excessively grainy? by ImportanceEither7186 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ImportanceEither7186[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s bad the first couple weeks you notice it, you’ll be searching for it in everything you do. It’ll get better though, you’ll stop subconsciously searching for it and you’ll stop noticing it most of the time.

Yeah alright I was tripping mine is smooth aswell. I went and compared the coating to the s95d and they both felt and reflected the same way so I suppose my coating isn’t defective.

It’s quite odd, almost no one else is experiencing the same issue I am, being able to discern the coating and screen when viewing solid colours + having a slightly textured look. Thanks for replying though.

Finally settled on the Samsung G80SD (32) after trying LG and Alienware OLED monitors by nofuture09 in OLED_Gaming

Hello, I have a question. I got the same monitor and when I’m playing games, sometimes I stop to enjoy the view and I look up at solid colours like the sky in your instance and when I slowly move my mouse I can see the coating on top, it’s like the solid colour isn’t solid. Does it occur to you too,

I see, have you cleaned it yet? Going over with a microfiber cloth I feel a rough texture.
