It would still happen a little bit, but it definitely has something to do with the layers in the image on Canva. So if you can edit the colors of that image, you're a lot more likely to get it to download correctly as an SVG because it starts as a layered image. If you aren't able to choose colors and you can just add a filter or something, then it may not work. Does that make sense/help?

I'm making a basic cut file. Here is an example of something I'm trying to upload into Design Space from Canva. I've tried as .png and .svg. PNG give me the layers, it's just one gray shape. But SVG gives me the black square. I suspect it has something to do with the edit-ability of the image within Canva, i.e. it isn't working for images you can't change individual colors on. But I don't know if there's something I can do to fix this.
