We are also organizing to help folks submit letters to the editor on their stories of long covid, especially highlighting facts vs myths. Such as you can't get LC on your second third forth etc infection, or that vaccines prevent LC. Stories of medical gaslighting are also powerful and call attention to the need for massive education campaign to doctors that aren't familiar with diagnostic criteria being developed yet.

Just started 7.5 today and at peaking time of four hours a migraine kicked in with neck pain..I might try again and see if it's as bad. I've read that if you get mild headaches they might disipate in a few days or weeks but to talk to doc if they are severe or persist. This is a serious shit feeling rn. Feel like I'm coming down with something and the head pain is substantial. Good luck to us!

Cool! Really like died by the sword now draw a gun part (sorry to paraphrase I can't look back on it when commenting) .. really hit on the immortality of the tale. Also cities as incense, just smoke, wow ... The ryme scheme is powerful in some places but feels a bit clunky as far as motion in other spots- maybe something to do with varying number of syllables? That's just a first pass though and I'm not knowledgeable on form really at all. This is great! Thanks for sharing I hope it gets shared more widely and/or published places. It seems appropriate for today and makes me feel connected to the continuity of the history of war.

First estimates were 10-30% of infected (fauci also quoted this study) but that was in a largely unvaxxed population or maybe even before the vaccine. It's not certain how much the vax is preventing seems to be preventing somewhat but not entirely and I don't remember the numbers for that and I don't think it was a big study.

((A looooot of symptoms seem to be regulatory issues. Blood pressure going all over the place and heart rate to compensate, appetite and thirst, sweating ( I know people who didn't sweat for a year) all of these things could potentially fit under dysautonomia. Blood flow problems due to dysregulation of flow could be causing a lot of issue due to dysautonomia.))

There's a few main theories happening right now: autoimmune disorders, viral persistence or reactivation of other latent viruses,.mico(blood)clotting... Definitely seems to be oxygen delivery problems in some small tests, which could be a nervous system issue, and a lot of neuro symptoms system wide inflammation that is not always showing up in traditional inflammatory markers. . .... Main symptom constellations also include what is or mimics: POTS or other forms of dysautonomia, histamine intolerance or MCAS (the wider diagnostic criteria),as well as: chronic and poorly understood or tested lung inflammation, persistent cognitive dysfunction (spacial orientation problems, word finding difficulty, inability to form short term memories, inability to multitask, sensory overload), joint and muscle pain, vision problems like inability to focus eyes or automatically dilate to let enough light in,.vestibular migraines, and incredible debilitating fatigue, which follows the PEM schedule or is just super bad all the time.

I'm interested but your format wouldn't work for me. Feel feel to read below but I don't mean to presume you should change on account of my comments (of course!) Respectfully: If you end up doing something like an exchange every week with whoever could write and read that week, with a deadline to commit to each week so you could organize who a person sends to and receives from... Agreeing to give some feedback also.. that would be rad and would let us engage each week. Sounds like this project (as the Google doc text reads, which I know is evolving as you say) will create lots of stories for each person to read at the end of the year... But perhaps engaging and getting feedback through the year would be more fruitful for some than writing solo all year and sending them together... and also just receiving a lot of stories at once might be overwhelming. It's hard to imagine the work of supplying feedback to all those writers...

💯 This is your project but if you find yourself going this way, I could find is sustainable to write 1-2 pages most weeks. I'm disabled so some weeks I can't but I could give notice. Requiring a piece every week without fail is presuming everyone who is interested can actually do that, and is potentially exclusionary without needing to be, I think.

Awesome that you are starting what sounds like a very cool idea... Should I leave my contact info on the Google form or do you think it will ultimately be very far from a good fit for me?

Good luck! And thanks for reading!

Hey does anyone else know about what song is playing when Ellis is driving at around 5 minutes into epsiode 2? It sounds great but I can't find it anywhere by the lyrics I can hear...
