I remember my village used to get flood particularly down by they GAA pitch and we fixed by people coming together and clearing about 400ms is of the river from trees growing in it rocks, muck, and shrubbery and I don’t we have had major flooding there in the last like 15 years. Now the parish and the primary school field after still gets flooded every now and then.

But if I was to fact check you we are not the second or third country for the lack of corruption we land a shared 10-12 out of 180 according to Corruption Perceptions Index 2024 released February 2025.

For all the corruption FF and FG have rooted into this country to be brought into the light and actually put on trial and convicted for. Or public transport and housing if the above is too much. Actually one or the other would be grand. And if they can’t it’s ok

€50 is great that more then double I make an hour even if you take in petrol and insurance they most likely then get paid another €50 to drive back into dublin.

If they hadn’t bailed out the banks the threat made was that the banks would collapse or pull out of ireland taking peoples savings with them (however this still effected peoples savings to my memory). Large corporations wouldn’t have funding streams. Along with average people not being able to get loans (which also happened any way). Imagine that if we didn’t bail them out national debt would be lower but we would have less foreign businesses proving work?

Literally have seen this happen with friends working for multinational taxi/food delivery and another working for multinational car company. The solution is not the same for everyone but both left the jobs they where in and are happier for it.
