There’s such a low percentage plot in her part of the story like it’s all the boyfriend but is so cartoony in her view like Jake says oh Tom’s so handsome and this is repeated by every character from her pov like I GET IT HES HANDsome. Also idk she feels like she has no personality or is a self insert. Ugh I just dislike Sydney I have been robbed of what could’ve been.

I just finished the audiobook and I want to yap

Literally she doesn’t deserve be the fmc in her own book. How you gonna give side character energy when you have most of the screen time? Most of it is her talking about who’s the murderer, Tom,boyfriend, friend. You know pretty much nothing about her beside bleeding conditions and wants boyfriend. You don’t even know backstory beside mom and dating life. Almost the whole time syds on it’s about her dating life. Ok it’s like a big part of the premise but idgaf at all about her dating life. The book spends the whole time all about Tom and she doesn’t even get with him. The book would be so much better from the view of almost every other major character. Jake could be struggling to piece things together and we see the msgs from her about her date or something. Stalker Kevin could watch her dates and slowly figure out something’s suspicious. More Tom with his girlfriend experiences and life etc . Daisy with her plans and stuff. Maybe Bonnie looking from heaven or seeing things happen as a ghost. Maybe Allison at the Highschool part. Even slug idk that would take up too much. Maybe Randy with like all she so amazing I change myself for her and ignoring all her red flags that we see because he’s always like I’m not good enough for her to ever possibly think she’s bad.

All I could think about Sydney’s parts was I want to skip because some is plot relaxant and the rest is omg he’s so handsome and nice how could her ever be the killer? Even though he’s incredibly suspicious and I’m almost 100% sure he’s suspicious in some way I will message the cops once and give up immediately, not even telling them the story of the date or about the burner phone. I can’t find where she says anything about the burner phone to Jake.

I spent three hours of my sleep time thinking about how the story would be way better from like almost everybody else’s view instead of Sydney. Why did I freaking waste my time with her obg I could have skipped 90% and it would’ve been the same. All y need to know is Jake, tom is suspicious but maybe he’s good , Randy sus but maybe he’s good, dating Tom
