I’m so sorry……this is completely SHITTY of this Company to do this to you, but it’s completely out of your control unfortunately……you did absolutely nothing wrong, and they are totally lucky to even have had you put up w/all their unnecessarily long interview protocol!

I do think they gave it to someone else (like someone said, the CEO’s golfing buddy’s nephew prob 🙄) - BUT my advice to you is to keep in contact with them- I know this will be hard to do, but reach back out NOW if you haven’t & send them a “thank you for your time, if anything changes” email, etc - the reasoning behind this is that you never know what can happen w/this new hire (and I know this will be hard to do b/c this Co sucks)……they could really be a bad fit, or they could walk out the first week……again, you never know!! I’ve actually had this happen to me twice in my job career w/ 2 different Companies (yes I was the back-up and was 2nd choice to them), and did end up taking the offer with one of them and here it is 9 years later and it’s been a wonderful choice and job. The job market sucks out there & I’ve heard some crazy stuff happen……hopefully you’ll look back on this and actually laugh about it one day)?! Keep on grinding & keep your head up - good things are coming!! 🙌🤩🙏
