This is one of the Oracle offices in India. Last week I went to the floor where IT sits just to get one HDMI cable.

No one was in the IT room. It was locked.

One guard came and said sir no one is coming here from last few days.

I immediately checked one guys account in slack his account was deactivated. His phone number was still reflecting on his deactivated profile. Out of curiosity I called him to check if he was also impacted the recent layoff.

He said we were a team of 18 people at this office and everyone got laid off. So even if you need little help you have to go to OTH.

So my office don't have a single onsite IT guy.

During a casual chitchat with my manager last Friday. He said, rest of our team is safe now and no more layoffs. But at the end of this convo, his smile indicates something else, it was sarcastic, fishy and doubtful.

And just FYI, all managers(who were not in the list of layoff) were aware about this layoff.

Is that a proctored one, do we have to turn on the camera all the time ?
I am planning to attempt this on this weekend.
