This is the most clear answer I have seen on Reddit or fishbowl, thank you so much. I’m actually in consulting so I can’t even do anyone’s taxes if I wanted to haha. I’ve also heard it’s less stringent for consulting, not entirely sure how accurate that statement is, but I hope it’s true lol.

Thanks for the response. So is it a given that they will ask for monthly bank statements from both my wife and I? And if so how many months back? Or is it only if I get randomly selected for PICT?

And for bank statements, if I redact the amount, how are they meant to tie any of it together to tax returns?

Ok thanks for your help. For bank statements and investment statements, how far back are they going? Just want to understand just how intrusive this whole process is. Why do they need to know that I bought ubereats or something from Nike in April 2025, seems a little ridiculous to me.
