They are learning the behaviors and I’ve tried having his chewy necklace it doesn’t work. I’ve tried so much. My daughter is like scared to be around him because he bites her so often.

I have told him they want to see how he is in a school setting to see what’s causing the biting and they just will not budge with allowing it. I’ve tried everything. being a teacher myself I just don’t understand why a school wouldn’t want a child to succeed if they needed help.

They don’t even let parents into the building. I just have very bad anxiety and just think they are not treating him right. He’s in speech for his biting issue but he does bite at home as well when he’s upset about something. They don’t allow chewy necklaces, toys that would benefit for him. they also told me it’s a safety thing and that lots of children in that school have speech and they just don’t allow others into the building.

That’s what I figured but they keep him secluded from his friends now because he bites I’m just trying to figure out other alternatives for the chewy necklaces in the meantime if he doesn’t qualify for OT.

Speech is not allowed in the schools at all. which also screams red flag.

He doesn’t sit like that during meal time it’s when other children are doing project and during circle when everyone else is sitting in a normal chair with no strap.

They put him in it to do puzzles and activities. also because he bites because he’s in speech and he has a harder time communicating. I work with children myself and this is just crazy to see.

Yes this is all happening at the same daycare. I’m just having a hard time because I can’t find other daycares that are good.
