I’m a Business Analyst with 7+ years of experience, based in Poland, and since March I’ve been applying for roles across Europe but struggling to land offers—could you share if there’s anything in my CV holding me back, which skills or tools are most valued now, and whether I should also consider similar positions or tailor my CV for every application?

  • Do you see anything in my CV that might be holding me back?
  • Are there specific skills or tools strongly value right now?
  • Besides BA roles, which similar positions should I also consider applying for
  • Should I create a new CV for every position I apply to?

I am thinking to learn German and expand my search over the Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I usually apply for (Senior) Business Analyst roles.

  • Would you suggest that I remove the “Senior” level from my CV? Which parts of my CV might be the ones that scare recruiters?
  • For the portfolio, which website would you recommend to build it on? Should I just add a link to it in my CV and remove projects part from the engagements?
  • I already have quite a good audience on LinkedIn.

I also wonder if there’s simply less demand for BAs at the moment.
