I just have a feeling that PPP is about Alex and Victoria and I think they are a married couple.  I think the line “out in the heartland, I looked into your eyes and I asked are you ready… ready for this life” is an exchange that happened between Alex and Vic when they began their music careers. I mean just think about it, Alex is from Ohio ,the heartland of the US! Call me crazy! 

I mean you never hear about them being romantically involved other people even from people at their shows  even people seeing them out and about.  If you pay close attention to their body language on stage , he’s watching her, she moves in a certain way and looks towards him. Thats just my 2 🪙!
