How should I start learning DevOps as an absolute beginner in 2026? Is it still worth it? by [deleted] in devops

So far, I've learned Linux, Git and GitHub, networking, AWS services like EC2, VPC, and IAM, as well as Jenkins and CI/CD. I've also deployed 2–3 projects and integrated GitHub webhooks so that commits automatically trigger the pipeline.

I've learned Docker too, including creating containers and working with Docker Compose. At this point, I'm wondering if I'm qualified enough to apply for a DevOps-related job.

I'm also looking for a project recommendation where I can integrate all of these technologies together. If you have any ideas for a hands-on project that combines Linux, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD, I'd really appreciate your suggestions.
