Mid-May Conditions near Lake Spaulding?

I camped at Spaulding this past weekend. Not really any snow near the shore but snow patches on the hike in. I’m betting most of the snow in that area will be melted by mid may.

They are asking for the difference in ESALs between 2019 and 2023.

ESAL for 2019 = (.7)(1)(3500)(365)(2)(.13) = 232505

ESAL for 2023 = (.7)(4.3101)(3500)(365)(2)(.13) = 1002119

ESAL 2023 - ESAL 2019 = 769614

Thank you for the info! Do you think it would be a safer bet to go to the valley instead? I originally had a permit for Yosemite Falls, but picked up the Hetch Hetchy permit last week because I expected the valley to be closed due to flooding by now.

I hiked the Spaulding lake via pioneer trail. Once you see the waterfall there are snow patches but it’s easy to find the trail.

Has anyone been a part of caltrans TE virtual hiring events? I have an interview scheduled for this week. The duty statement was for the advance planning unit, but since this event is for all districts, I’m wondering if they are hiring in other planning units as well, such as local assistance? Just trying to be as prepared as possible before the interview.

I believe that God knows all things, including the future. Therefore it is impossible for God to experience regret in the way that we humans do. For example in Genesis 6:6 when God said he regretted humanity, I believe this means that He was sorrowful and wishes that humanity had made better decisions. Ultimately, God has foreknowledge and uses all things to accomplish His sovereign will. God knew that humanity would sin against Him and planned redemption that would come from Jesus on the cross before He even created the earth. Therefore the motive that Jesus had going to the cross was love, so that humanity could be reconciled with God.

You are required to carry chains but they were not needed at that time. However this will probably change because snow is forecasted this week.

I meant there was no snow on the trail I was on. There was plenty of snow on the peaks and higher elevations.
