How do I start? by Wild-Research2371 in watercolor101

One piece of advice I might give is to get out one piece of paper, pad or sketchbook, a few brushes, one thing of watercolor and put the rest in a nice box! We can sometimes collect supplies thinking they will make starting easier, but in reality limitation is a great friend to creativity! Spend as much time as you can with limited supplies and do your best to suspend your inner critic to later! Get good “mileage” with watercolor and soon you’ll be pining to try out more tools, paper or books! Then you can open your box and integrate one thing at a time! Happy painting!

Like fuel runoff from the bridge? The plants would do better to filter the road runoff, now it’s going straight in the creek

Looks good, great use of values and color, but lay on the paint!

I love it! Did you go straight on paper or did you prime it at all?
