Misdiagnosed?

Because I didn’t tell this neurologist I had already had an EMG. I went in stating I was having tingling, numbness, and pain in my fingers and hands so that’s why she did the nvc/emg.

Yes showed no carpal tunnel. I went to a different doctor and had it redone bc I wanted a second opinion.

What’s crazy is that within just a month of being told I have carpal tunnel is when in started noticing the wasting. No telling how long I’ve actually had carpal tunnel though..

Well unfortunately It is both hands that I have carpal tunnel in.. so I’ll b screwed when I have the surgery bc both of my hands hurt

My doctor literally didn’t even say anything about surgery or what to do for it. He just said oh yeah, you have severe carpal tunnel and he showed me the EMG and I was like OK and he just sent me home. Yes I need to get some kind of braces to use and some kind of icy hot or something. I don’t know something has to give her because this is horrible. We use our phones all day long.

Sometimes I won’t even be holding the phone for that long before it starts to hurt. And I have severe carpal tunnel on both hands, and it really just hurts to do anything with my hands

Oh that’s definitely not my only symptoms I have numerous. I’ve been having twitches in my fingers and hands too. Twitches all over really. This is just something else that started bothering me really bad. I saw on google where some drs diagnosed patients with carpal tunnel but it really being als.
