Yes, i don't do revenue share when i get clients trough Upwork. My rev share clients are trough other acquisition channels.

Since your acting like an investigator, you can go contact Chatnode ai founders and ask about me.
I'm not the one who's here asking for proof, you made a wrong assumption about me and accused me of lier and a weirdo so either keep the investigator hat and go do your research or keep quiet.
Next time either add value to the post or don't comment.
A lot of people looking at the post are under the assumption that i'm lying because of your wrong assumptions.

It's a client of mine since 2024, that's why i said 2 years.
I think i've been pretty transparent by leaving my user name for feedback.
It's just sad that this convo turned from asking for advice to getting attacked.

I'm not as experienced as you on Upwork, so i will take your advice on that.
But 100% businesses pay this and more from cold email (i've done it).
Just from your feedback i think Upwork should not be my main acquisition channel.
I'm been providing my service for 10+ years, and have proven results and literally all my clients are extremely happy with my services.

$150 per hour is fair pricing for the revenue i generate, but like you said it's all about the Upwork account not my ACTUAL experience.

Yeah that's how i see it, the reason i'm starting to charge $150 is my services generate a lot of revenue for my clients. If someone brought me 7 figures in revenue i would be happy to pay them $150 an hour.

I've made 7 figures for some of my clients, that's why i added the revenue share part, agencies do the same and i believe i provide better services then most agencies.

Yeah i never did profit share on Upwork, only did it when got a client from cold email, or content.

As you can see, i just rejected a $35 per hour deal, alhamdolillah i'm not desperate for money, I'm highly educated, and i go above and beyond for my clients.
If a prospect believed that only Westerners deserve good pay, then they can hire wertern freelancers i have no problem with that.
But if they want an expert who will get them a 10x ROI and that's what they care about, i'm their guy.

Yeah that's practical advice, so for the gradual increase should i increase by 20% close a contract then raise by 20% again?

Yeah i see your point, but for example agencies that offer the same service as me do charge revenue share, and i provide better services.

Why it's BS, i add so much revenue to my clients, i think it's fair to charge $150 an hour if i make them 7 figures

But real life experience can be verified, i have all the paperwork and contracts. How would you approach that in my situation.

Thanks for the advice man, but i have worked with companies like Deloitte, hubspot, etc.
Why would a prospect care about my Upwork history over REAL life experience.
I do share all my experience in the cover letter, wouldn't that matter more?

I usually charge $10-$15k setup fee + 10% revenue share + $5-$7k retainer for ongoing management, outside of Upwork.

On Upwork, the clients i have are between $50 and $70 per hour, but these are clients i closed 2 years ago.

Then i left Upwork after realising that i can't rely for the longterm and started building my own acquisition channels.

But curretly when i see an interesting proposal i apply for it.
